Gary is an award winning cinematographer that has currently worked on a multitude of award winning projects that include over twelve feature films and dozens of short films, TV Commercials and music videos. Every job Is an opportunity to learn or perfect skills. Film making is a constant voyage of discovery and every job an opportunity to learn. As a self confessed film fanatic Gary strives to produce high quality visuals, something that can only be achieved with the right dedicated team behind you.
Starting his career many years ago when he got the role of DOP on a local film called ‘Bigger and Badder’ a horror film set in Birmingham. It wasn't long before bigger projects started rolling in such as
"Kings of Crime" starring Mark Wingett (The Bill), Claire King (Coronation Street, Emmerdale Farm), Rachel Bright (Eastenders)
Second Unit DOP on the acclaimed cult series of film, "Rise of The Footsoldier-Marbella" starring Craig Fairbrass & Terry Stone.
Since then things have gone from strength to strength after starting his own company Country Star Productions and collaborating with other skilled people in the industry, now has many short films, documentaries, music videos and corporate projects under his belt.
One of Gary’s films was shown on the BBC3 Series called ‘The Fear’ a six-part series showcasing up and coming film makers and recent work such as 'The Beauty of It' has won several awards including best cinematography along with a nomination for best cinematography from Midlands Movie Awards and 'The Youth of Nature' has currently won three 'Best Cinematography' awards and several 'Best Film' awards.
